Bahasa Melayu/MIB/Sastera Department

Bahasa Melayu is offered to all year levels, from Year 7 to Year 11.
Students in the lower secondary are required to sit for the School Progress Examination (SPE) at the end of Year 8.
Year 11 students will sit for Bahasa Melayu in the Brunei General Cambridge ‘O’Level Examination.
It is mandatory for all students to study Melayu Islam Beraja [MIB] subject. Although students will not be assessed through BGCE ‘O’ Level exam, Year 8 students must sit for MIB in the SPE.
Notably, Malay Literature is only offered as an option subject to those students in the Applied Programme.
